Delivering on Our Promise: President Suresh Garimella’s installation ceremony on March 25 marked a pivotal moment for the University of Arizona. His call for the institution to become “a true force for good” resonated with the community. The strategic imperatives introduced under his leadership focus on student success, pioneering research, and community engagement.
President Suresh Garimella hosted the inaugural Staff Social on the Mall, welcoming around 1,500 employees on March 10.

Provost and Chief Academic Officer Patricia Prelock joined the university in May, swiftly establishing a roadmap for academic success. Archaeological Discoveries in Mesoamerica
Discoveries at Aguada Fénix: Research led by Professor Takeshi Inomata uncovered significant ritual constructions at Aguada Fénix, aligning with ancient cosmological models. Excavations revealed jade artifacts and mineral caches, dating back to 900-845 B.C.

Casino Del Sol Stadium: In a landmark agreement, the University of Arizona partnered with Casino Del Sol for a 20-year, $60 million naming rights deal for Arizona Stadium.
