Fred DeMicco’s Exploration of Technology in Food Delivery

Fred DeMicco, a retiree and affiliate of the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at NAU, has co-authored a significant paper titled “Robot Acceptance and Service Quality in Food Delivery: An Expanded TAM-based Study.” Published in the International Journal of Human–Computer Interaction, this study utilizes data from over 1,100 users of robot delivery services to explore factors influencing customer satisfaction with this emerging technology.

Gerald Tuskan’s Revolutionary Contribution to Forestry

NAU School of Forestry alumnus Gerald Tuskan has been honored with the 2025 Marcus Wallenberg Prize for his pioneering work in sequencing and analyzing the first tree genome back in 2006. The Marcus Wallenberg Prize is a prestigious recognition in the forestry sector, celebrating individuals who have driven transformative scientific innovations within the industry.

NAU’s Commitment to Environmental Responsibility

In recognition of its sustainability initiatives, NAU has been listed among 388 schools in The Princeton Review’s “Guide to Green Colleges: 2026 Edition.” This guide highlights universities that are leaders in environmental responsibility, assessing them on their sustainability programs, ecological awareness, and conservation efforts.
