Thursday marked a significant day for the campus as incoming Mountain Hawks and their families arrived, cars loaded with dreams, goals, and all the essentials for dorm life.
The morning’s unexpected cool drizzle soon turned into sunshine, welcoming the new students as they settled into their dormitories and enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the lawn.
The day commenced with students checking in at Iacocca Hall located on the Mountaintop Campus, where they collected their orientation materials and learned the directions to their residence halls. After unloading their vehicles with the help of Lehigh’s MOOV (Made of Our Volunteers) team, and before emotional farewells to family members, a community-style picnic lunch took place on the Clayton University Center Lawn and Memorial Walkway.
The orientation kick-off event, hosted on the Clayton University Center Lawn, began under the newly emerged sun, officially welcoming Lehigh’s latest cohort of students.
