Central Texas faced a devastating natural disaster in the early hours of July 4, as severe flooding wreaked havoc on the region. Among the affected were the family of William G. Hardin III, the dean of the College of Business at Florida International University, who suffered a tragic loss.
Multiple sources, including correspondence from the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida and a statement from The Webb School in Tennessee, confirmed that the Hardin family’s residence in Hunt, Texas, was overtaken by the rising waters. Dean Hardin survived the incident, but tragically, his wife, Alyson, and their daughter, Josephine, did not.
William “Bill” Hardin has been serving as the dean of FIU’s College of Business since May 2021, contributing significantly to the institution.
