Enhance Mental Health with Campus Health Services This Fall

Prepare for the Upcoming Semester by Prioritizing Mental Health and Wellness

As the fall semester approaches, it’s an opportune moment to ensure your mental well-being is fortified. Campus Health Services (CHS) offers a variety of resources to support this endeavor.

CHS integrates behavioral health providers with medical teams to tackle health issues that can benefit from adopting healthier habits. The summer period presents a perfect opportunity to consult with a behavioral health provider for brief or same-day visits. These consultations can help set lifestyle goals that enhance both mental and physical health.

For those with medical mental health conditions requiring medication, psychiatry resources are also accessible.

According to Carl Dindo, director of Counseling Services at CHS, “Self-care is more than just healthy habits and getting outside. It is fundamental to mental and emotional health. It is multidimensional and intentional, prompting us to strive for balance in our lives, while also encouraging us to seek resources and support when we need additional help.”

If you’re interested in scheduling an appointment for behavioral health or psychiatry, you can reach out to your primary care provider, visit the CHS front desk, or call (928) 523-2131 for further information.

Additionally, beyond CHS, the Employee Assistance and Wellness (EAW) offers counseling and wellness services specifically designed for faculty and staff members.
