Major Investment Sparks New Job Opportunities in La Paz County
In a significant boost to the local economy, a new egg production facility is set to bring substantial investment and job creation to La Paz County, Arizona. Rose Acre Farms, in collaboration with Becker Development and Consulting LLC, has commenced construction on the Desert Valley Egg Farm, an endeavor valued at over $100 million.
LA PAZ COUNTY, AZ (May 5, 2023) – The groundbreaking ceremony for the Desert Valley Egg Farm took place today, marking the start of a project that aims to house 2.2 million cage-free laying hens. Once operational, the facility will generate 150 new jobs, with the farm expected to be completed by 2026. This development will increase Rose Acre Farms’ workforce in La Paz County to over 300 employees.
Key figures from the Arizona Commerce Authority, local government, and community leaders gathered to celebrate this milestone. Vincent (Skip) Becker, President of Becker Development and Consulting LLC, expressed enthusiasm for the project’s potential impact. We started this project in August 2013 and are excited to mark this milestone today,
Becker stated. He acknowledged the support from partners like the Arizona Commerce Authority, Arizona California Railroad, and APS, which facilitated the project’s progression. We’re excited to see how the farm will contribute to the community as Rose Acre Farms continues to play an important role in Arizona agribusiness.
