Procter & Gamble to Establish New Manufacturing Facility in Coolidge, Arizona

The landscape of Coolidge, Arizona, is set to transform as Procter & Gamble (P&G), a leader in consumer goods, prepares to establish a new manufacturing facility in the region. This strategic move is anticipated to create approximately 500 jobs by 2025, bolstering the local economy and highlighting Arizona’s growing reputation in the manufacturing sector.

P&G’s upcoming facility, representing a $500 million investment, will primarily support its fabric care portfolio, including well-known products like Tide PODS®, Downy Unstopables®, and Bounce® Dryer Sheets. The facility will be constructed on a 427-acre site at Inland Port Arizona in Coolidge, with land acquisition expected to conclude this month and construction slated to begin in 2023.

Arizona is proud to welcome this new manufacturing facility from such an iconic American company as P&G, remarked Governor Doug Ducey, emphasizing the significance of P&G’s presence in strengthening the state’s burgeoning manufacturing industry. He added that this development would bring hundreds of quality jobs to Pinal County.

Martin Hettich, P&G’s Senior Vice President for Fabric Care in North America, expressed enthusiasm about the location, stating, Pinal County is a prime location for serving our consumers and customers across the region. The Coolidge facility will be key to supporting P&G’s Fabric Care business, and we look forward to our partnership with the community for years to come.

The Arizona Commerce Authority’s President and CEO, Sandra Watson, further highlighted Coolidge’s appeal as a manufacturing destination, citing the region’s skilled workforce and robust infrastructure. With a highly skilled workforce, ready access to infrastructure, and a growing manufacturing ecosystem that includes leaders like Nikola, Coolidge represents an excellent fit for this new factory. Coolidge Mayor Jon Thompson welcomed P&G to the Inland Port of Arizona, noting the economic benefits and employment opportunities the facility would generate. Procter & Gamble will help grow our local economy and provide excellent opportunities to our expanding workforce, he said.
