Plug and Play Launches New Hub in Arizona with Industry Giants as Partners
Plug and Play, renowned for its global innovation platform, has inaugurated its latest site in Arizona, marking a significant expansion. The launch event in Phoenix, attended by the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), unveiled three major founding partners: Intel, Honeywell Aerospace, and Raytheon Missiles & Defense.
Saeed Amidi, CEO & Founder of Plug and Play, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, We’re incredibly excited to be working with the Arizona Commerce Authority and a truly world-class group of founding partners across the semiconductor, aerospace, and mobility industries.
Amidi emphasized the ACA’s role in fostering business growth and innovation in Arizona.
The Arizona branch of Plug and Play will select startups for a three-month Advanced Manufacturing program. This initiative will target innovations in workforce training, supply chain visibility, predictive maintenance, robotics, and automation. The first cohort, comprising 10-15 startups, will be announced shortly.
Commenting on the launch, Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, stated, Today’s launch event represents a tremendous milestone for Arizona’s innovation ecosystem.
She highlighted the partnership’s potential to boost Arizona’s global presence.
John Otto, Sr. Director of Technology at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, added his support, noting, Innovation and entrepreneurship are essential to the economic vitality of Arizona.
