Major Business Expansion Announced in Wixom, Michigan
LANSING, Mich – In a significant move poised to boost the local economy, Governor Gretchen Whitmer has unveiled a new business expansion initiative in Wixom, Michigan. Supported by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), this project involves ptMantra and Youngsoft investing $2,350,000 to create over 107 well-paying jobs in the medical technologies sector.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Governor Whitmer stated, “I am excited that these two companies are coming together to drive economic growth and prosperity in Oakland County.” She highlighted the project’s role in revitalizing communities and investing in the workforce, leveraging Michigan’s strengths in medical device and technology industries.
Matt McCauley, SVP Regional Development at the MEDC, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing Michigan’s appeal to businesses. “ptMantra and Youngsoft’s announcement today is exciting news for Wixom and Oakland County as we are seeing the ‘Make It in Michigan’ economic development strategy continues to drive innovation, business investment and community revitalization across the state,” he remarked.
The collaboration between ptMantra Inc. and Youngsoft Inc. aims to introduce an innovative Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) and remote patient management system. This system promises secure, mobile-based, AI-powered therapeutic monitoring, enabling patients to follow rehabilitation plans from home.
Founded in 2021, ptMantra specializes in RTM technology, while Youngsoft, established in 1996, offers IT consulting and solutions globally. Both companies were founded by Rupesh Srivastava, who leads ptMantra as Founder and CEO alongside Co-CEO Roger Goble, combining their expertise in IT and the orthopedic/physical therapy industry.
David Coulter, Oakland County Executive, praised the expansion, noting its potential for job creation and economic health. “The cutting-edge work ptMantra is doing will help people stay healthy and live better lives, and their expansion in Wixom will promote new jobs and a healthy economy,” he said.
Drew Benson, Assistant City Manager & Director of Economic Development for the City of Wixom, also expressed support, emphasizing the city’s commitment to fostering innovation in medical technologies. “The City of Wixom is proud to support ptMantra’s efforts to improve patient outcomes while creating high-quality tech and healthcare jobs right here in our community,” he stated.
Roger Goble, Co-CEO of ptMantra, acknowledged the partnership with MEDC, saying, “We are honored to partner with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and deeply grateful for their support.” He highlighted the platform’s role in improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs, especially in rural areas.
The project will generate substantial capital investment and job creation in Wixom, offering $25.00 per hour wages plus benefits, surpassing the regional median wage. The Michigan Business Development Program awarded a performance-based grant of $404,000 to support this initiative.

Additionally, Michigan Works! has proposed a $785,000 plan to address the talent needs of the companies, while the City of Wixom provides expedited permitting and talent support.
