WebFX’s Expansion in Harrisburg: A $10.7 Million Investment for New Jobs
In a significant boost to Pennsylvania’s job market, Governor Josh Shapiro has announced a major investment by WebFX, a leading digital marketing agency. This $10.7 million initiative aims to expand WebFX’s operations in Harrisburg, creating 100 new tech jobs in the area.
Governor Shapiro stated, “This investment is not just about creating jobs. It’s about fostering innovation and supporting the growth of our digital economy in Pennsylvania.” With this expansion, WebFX plans to transform the former Tracy Mansion in Harrisburg into a state-of-the-art training and meeting facility, enhancing its ability to serve clients and upskill its workforce.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is backing this project with $900,000, reflecting the state’s commitment to supporting business growth and job creation. This investment aligns with Governor Shapiro’s broader strategy to create a more dynamic economic environment in Pennsylvania.
WebFX CEO William Craig expressed his enthusiasm for the project, noting that the expansion is a testament to the company’s commitment to fostering local talent and contributing to the community’s economic development. “Our goal is to build a robust workforce that can drive the digital marketing industry forward,” Craig said.
This development is expected to have a substantial impact on the local economy, providing new opportunities for tech professionals and enhancing the digital landscape in Harrisburg. As the project unfolds, it will likely serve as a model for similar initiatives aimed at leveraging public-private partnerships for regional growth and development.
