Benchmark Electronics Expands with New Facility in Arizona
Benchmark Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: BHE), a leader in engineering, design, and manufacturing services, has officially opened a new Precision Technologies facility in Mesa, Arizona. This 64,000-square-foot facility marks a significant expansion for the company, focusing on semiconductor capital equipment solutions. To support this endeavor, Benchmark plans to invest $20 million and hire up to 100 new employees.

The grand opening event was attended by several notable figures, including Governor Katie Hobbs, Mesa Mayor John Giles, and Arizona Commerce Authority President and CEO Sandra Watson, along with various industry leaders and dignitaries who have supported Benchmark’s growth in Arizona.

The new facility in Mesa broadens Benchmark’s cleanroom capabilities and offers potential for vertical integration of specialized processes such as TIG welding and electron beam welding. It also promises to create more job opportunities in the region, supporting the semiconductor industry’s growth.
Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, celebrated the milestone, stating, “Today’s exciting grand opening represents Benchmark’s third since relocating its headquarters to Arizona in 2017.”
