Arizona’s Small Business Boot Camp Celebrates Three Years of Success

As thousands of entrepreneurs across Arizona have discovered, access to expert guidance can be a game-changer for small businesses. The Arizona Commerce Authority’s Small Business Boot Camp, celebrating its third anniversary, offers just that through free educational webinars.

PHOENIX, AZ (April 27, 2023) – Originally conceived as a temporary six-week resource to assist businesses during the pandemic, the Small Business Boot Camp has evolved into a permanent fixture for Arizona’s entrepreneurs. Since its inception on April 27, 2020, it has become a cornerstone for small business development in the state. Recently, the program expanded to include Spanish-language sessions to better serve the community’s needs.

So far, the Boot Camp has conducted 276 sessions featuring insights from over 220 experts, drawing more than 14,800 participants from every county in Arizona. Its substantial archive of previous sessions is accessible via the program’s Content Library, providing a valuable resource for ongoing learning.

The Small Business Boot Camp has become an invaluable resource to help Arizona small businesses reach their goals, stated Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. She further remarked, The ACA is proud to see how this unique program has grown since 2020 – supporting thousands of entrepreneurs, especially those in rural communities. We are grateful to our partners and presenters for their support. We look forward to seeing the Boot Camp reach even more businesses and fuel entrepreneurial success in our state.

The weekly sessions, which take place every Tuesday, cover critical topics such as financial management, operational strategies, employee management, marketing, and sales. These sessions are led by experts from various sectors, including renowned companies, academic institutions, nonprofits, and successful small business owners. In total, over 130 different organizations have shared their expertise with participants.

The Arizona Commerce Authority continues to back small businesses through a range of initiatives, including the Small Business Boot Camp, the Small Business Digital Academy, and the Arizona Business One Stop.
