Arizona Commerce Authority Secures Future with Legislative Reauthorization
PHOENIX, AZ (June 18, 2024) – The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) has been reauthorized through 2029 following a legislative decision supported by the Governor. This development promises to sustain the state’s economic growth trajectory.
ACA President and CEO Sandra Watson expressed her gratitude for the bipartisan support that facilitated this legislative success. According to Watson, the reauthorization is poised to enhance Arizona’s reputation as a hub for job creation and investment.
Watson extended her appreciation to Governor Hobbs for her steadfast endorsement of the ACA’s initiatives aimed at creating lucrative employment opportunities. She also acknowledged the contributions of several legislative leaders: Senate President Warren Petersen, Speaker Ben Toma, Senate Minority Leader Mitzi Epstein, and House Minority Leader Lupe Contreras. The role of House Appropriations Chairman David Livingston as the bill’s sponsor was also commended for his vital leadership.
Additionally, Watson highlighted the support from partners and stakeholders, particularly recognizing Danny Seiden and the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry for their prioritization of the ACA’s reauthorization.
