Maricopa County, AZ – Community input is pivotal to shaping the future of Maricopa County, and residents are invited to take part in the next series of outreach meetings for the Comprehensive Plan’s development.
The Comprehensive Plan aims to direct the growth of Maricopa County’s natural and constructed environments, enhancing life quality for those living in unincorporated areas. It will encompass crucial themes like land usage, transportation, parks and open space, water, energy, the economy, and the environment, ensuring the plan aligns with community values and supports county decision-making over the coming decade and beyond.
Community Engagement Is Key
“We deeply value the input of our residents and are committed to transparency and inclusion as we craft a plan that can benefit everyone,” stated Board of Supervisors Chairman Thomas Galvin, District 2. “These outreach meetings serve as a vital opportunity for the community to engage, share perspectives, and help shape the future of our County.”
The upcoming outreach meetings are scheduled from April 24th to May 9th, offering both in-person and virtual participation options for county residents. Each meeting will present an overview of the feedback received so far and include interactive activities to integrate this input into the draft plan.
Residents from unincorporated Maricopa County are urged to attend and contribute to these discussions to ensure their voices are represented in the final plan.
