Engagement Highlights

District 3 Supervisor Kate Brophy McGee participated in a series of community events, including a mock election organized by the County Election Department. This event was designed to test new procedures for mail-in voters who deliver their ballots in person, aiding in preparations for emergency voting and election day operations.

In addition, McGee met with stakeholders in Desert Hills and New River to discuss issues such as floodplain drainage and code enforcement. She also joined local leaders for a “Coffee with a Cop” event, which included discussions with Phoenix Chief of Police Matt Giordano and Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell on combating prostitution and human trafficking along the I-17 Corridor.

Collaborations with Greater Phoenix Leadership and Valley Partnership

Supervisor McGee also engaged with Greater Phoenix Leadership and Valley Partnership, focusing on priorities like eviction prevention and services for the seriously mentally ill. These discussions were part of broader transparency initiatives, including the Infrastructure Readiness tool.

Key Meetings and Initiatives

Among other key engagements, Supervisor McGee attended a luncheon with the Salt River Project members, which facilitated discussions on county affairs. Meetings with Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen and Navajo County Supervisor Jason Whiting were held to align on county priorities within the state budget.
