NAU’s Spring 2026 Commencement Features Four Ceremonies May 8-9

NAU Spring 2026 Commencement Set to Celebrate Over 4,700 Graduates

In an event marked by tradition and celebration, Northern Arizona University (NAU) is preparing to confer degrees to more than 4,700 students during its Spring 2026 commencement. The ceremonies are scheduled for May 8-9 and will be divided into four separate events.

Hosted at the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome (Bldg. 73), the venue will welcome attendees starting 90 minutes before each ceremony. A clear bag policy will be in effect, so guests are advised to check the guidelines in advance. Those who cannot attend in person can view the live-stream of the events.

Ceremony Schedule

The commencement will honor bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral candidates as follows:

10 a.m. Friday

  • College of Education
  • The W. A. Franke College of Business

3 p.m. Friday

  • College of Arts and Letters
  • College of Health and Human Services
  • Maria and Steve Sanghi College of Nursing

10 a.m. Saturday

  • College of the Environment, Forestry, and Natural Sciences
  • Steve Sanghi College of Engineering

3 p.m. Saturday

  • College of Social and Behavioral Sciences
  • NAU Yuma

Travel and Parking Information

On Friday, expect increased traffic on campus about an hour before and after each ceremony. To avoid delays:

  • Consider alternate routes if you don’t need to drive on campus.
  • If driving is necessary, plan for extra travel time and possible detours.

Parking is available at various campus locations, with shuttle services from the South Commuter parking lot (P62) and the San Francisco parking garage (P96). ADA parking can be found in the Skydome parking lot P66, accessible via Lone Tree Road. View the campus map online.
