BLM Approves Wildcat Exploration Project in Pershing County, Nevada

Gold Exploration Project Receives Green Light in Pershing County

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has given its approval for the Wildcat Exploration Project, situated in the Seven Troughs Range of Pershing County, Nevada. This initiative, proposed by Millennial NV, LLC, aims to evaluate the potential for gold mining across over 12,000 acres of public and private land, according to the Final Environmental Assessment. The project is set to result in surface disturbances covering approximately 400 acres, with 365 acres located on public lands.

The project entails the development of drilling pads, enhancement and upkeep of access roads, and the installation of monitoring wells and measurement tools. Additionally, it will involve setting up water production wells and piping, as well as collecting geochemical and geotechnical data. This data collection will include trenching, test-pitting, and borehole drilling, alongside the establishment of laydown yards. Millennial NV, LLC, is obligated to restore the disturbed areas once the project concludes.

For those interested in examining the final documentation, the details are accessible through the BLM National NEPA Register. Further inquiries can be directed to Planning and Environmental Coordinator, Kathy Torrence, at 775-623-1500.
