City of Flint Honors Martin Luther King Jr. Day with City Hall Closure
The City of Flint has announced that City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025, in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This closure is part of the city’s ongoing commitment to honoring the legacy of the civil rights leader.
Despite the closure of City Hall, residents can continue to utilize the red drop box located in front of the building. This facility will remain accessible for submitting water payments, property taxes, and other important correspondence.
Essential Services Unaffected
Essential city services will remain operational during the holiday. The Police and Fire Departments will continue their 24-hour service, ensuring public safety is maintained without interruption. Similarly, the Water Service Center and Wastewater Plant will operate around the clock to provide continuous service.
Service Center Availability
For residents needing to make bill payments, the City of Flint Service Center will be open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The center will operate with modified hours, from 10 AM to 4 PM, to accommodate those who require in-person services.
