His silence contrasts sharply with other prominent figures, including Trump’s own Vice President, JD Vance, who remarked that those involved in attacking police during the Capitol riots “obviously” should not receive pardons. Nevada State Democratic Party’s Reaction
Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Tai Sims criticized Lombardo’s inaction, stating, “The fact that Joe Lombardo, who campaigned on his record in law enforcement, can’t even be bothered to stand up for officers and condemn the pardoning of violent criminals who attacked police officers on January 6th tells you everything you need to know about him. Lombardo will abandon any group of people, any policy, and any principle if it is politically advantageous for him to do so.”
