Major Investment to Boost Jobs in Pennsylvania

In a significant move for Pennsylvania’s economic landscape, Governor Shapiro has announced a substantial investment by Schreiber Foods in Cumberland County. The $132.9 million investment is set to enhance the manufacturing capabilities of Schreiber Foods’ Shippensburg facility, paving the way for job creation and economic growth in the area.

This strategic investment is expected to generate 47 new jobs, further strengthening the state’s agriculture and manufacturing sectors. The Commonwealth has shown its support by contributing $1 million to facilitate this development project. These funds are part of a broader initiative to bolster Pennsylvania’s economy by attracting and retaining key industries.

Schreiber Foods, a leading dairy manufacturer, aims to expand its production capacity to meet growing demand. This expansion not only promises to create jobs but also reinforces the company’s commitment to the region. Governor Shapiro highlighted the significance of this investment, stating, “This project will provide economic opportunities and stability for the local community, ensuring Pennsylvania remains a competitive force in the agricultural sector.”
