BLM Seeks Public Input on Proposed Las Vegas Community Park Plan

Public Input Sought for New Las Vegas Community Park Proposal

LAS VEGAS – A new community park might soon enhance the northwest corner of Log Cabin Way and El Capitan Way in Las Vegas, providing much-needed green space and recreational facilities. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is inviting public feedback on the City of Las Vegas’s proposal to lease and develop 122 acres of public land for this purpose.

The planned site, surrounded by the future extensions of Skye Canyon Park Drive and Moccasin Road, aims to offer sports fields, trails, public restrooms, parking, utilities, and other amenities to the local community.

The formal notice will be published in the Federal Register on Monday, kicking off a 45-day public comment period that ends on April 16, 2026. Interested parties can submit their written comments to: BLM Las Vegas Field Office, Assistant Field Manager, 4701 N. Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89130.

For more details, individuals can visit the BLM Las Vegas Field Office at the stated address. Questions can be directed to BLM Supervisory Realty Specialist Brad Gallimore at 702-515-5017 or via email at [email protected].
