Explore Reno’s Parks with Free 2026 Ranger Walks Guided by Experts

Discover Reno’s Parks Through Guided Ranger Walks in 2026

Residents of Reno have a unique opportunity to delve into the city’s parks through the innovative Ranger Walks program. This initiative, which spans the entire year of 2026, offers free guided tours led by expert park rangers. These walks aim to foster a deeper connection between the community and the natural and historical treasures nestled within Reno’s parks.

The inaugural walk is set for Saturday, February 14, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Fishermen’s Park in Ward 1. Each event invites participants to embark on a ranger-guided exploration along various trails, unveiling the distinct features and stories each park holds.

Designed to be accessible for all ages and abilities, the walks are conducted in an out-and-back manner, with each listed location serving as the starting point. Participants are advised to arrive at least five minutes before the scheduled start, equipped with closed-toe shoes. Bringing water and dressing suitably for the weather, including sun protection, is recommended. All events are contingent on weather conditions and may be rescheduled if necessary.
