In a statement marking the beginning of Black History Month, Daniele Monroe-Moreno, Chair of the Nevada State Democratic Party, emphasized the ongoing significance of Black contributions to both the state of Nevada and the nation as a whole.
“This Black History Month, the Nevada State Democratic Party is proud to celebrate Black trailblazers’ innumerable contributions to Nevada and our nation. We’re fighting every day to ensure Black Nevadans’ voices are represented in our state party and at all levels of government. Throughout history, Black voters and organizers have paved the way for progress and change in our country. As we stand up against extremism and bigotry, we must continue to honor our history and sacrifices and fight all forms of injustice.”
