Reno Fire Department Urges Residents to Join Community Connect Program

In a bid to enhance emergency response efficiency, the Reno Fire Department (RFD) is urging residents and business owners to participate in Community Connect. This no-cost initiative aims to better equip first responders with crucial information during emergencies. By sharing details such as emergency contacts, mobility requirements, medical conditions, pets, and specific fire safety features, participants can significantly assist emergency teams.

“It’s important for all of our residents to take part in this program so the Reno Fire Department can serve them most effectively,” said Reno Fire Chief David Cochran. “Emergencies are the most critical situations, and the information shared through this program can make the difference in saving someone’s life.”

To join, individuals can visit the Community Connect website and set up an account using their email, phone number, and address. The platform allows users to input essential information that could aid first responders in the event of an emergency.
