New Billboards Target Joe Lombardo’s Alignment with Trump Policies
In a strategic move preceding Donald Trump’s rally near the Nevada/Arizona border, the Nevada State Democratic Party has launched a series of billboards across the state. These billboards aim to highlight Joe Lombardo’s alignment with the former president’s policies, which they argue are contributing to increased costs for Nevadans. From advising residents to “feel a little pain” from tariffs to supporting Trump’s decisions that have led to higher fuel prices, Lombardo is depicted as following his “commanding officer,” a term he has used to describe Trump.
Furthermore, Lombardo has expressed enthusiasm for Trump’s budget bill, despite its implications for thousands of Nevadans who risk losing their health care coverage and food assistance because of it.
Digital Campaign Highlights Economic Impact
In addition to the billboards, the Nevada Democrats have released a new digital ad outlining the financial burdens that policies supported by Lombardo and Trump impose on everyday costs, including groceries, gas, and health care.
Democratic Party’s Critique
Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno expressed her concerns about the effects of Trump’s visit to Nevada, saying, “After helping line the pockets of Donald Trump and his ‘billionaire friends,’ Joe Lombardo is desperately hoping that Nevadans forget he’s in lockstep with the most destructive president in modern history and Nevadans are paying the price. The reality is Nevadans know Lombardo will always put Trump first and working families last. That’s why we’ll make him a one-term governor this November.”
Billboard and Projection Locations
The billboards are part of a broader campaign, with specific locations across the state to maximize visibility. In Las Vegas, the projections can be found at coordinates 36.04950 -115.18144.
In Sparks, another projection site is located at 39.5291 -119.702.
