CP Industries Bolsters McKeesport with a $21.7 Million Investment
In a significant move to boost the local economy, CP Industries has unveiled plans to expand its manufacturing operations in McKeesport, Allegheny County, with a substantial $21.7 million investment. This expansion is set to create 78 new jobs, enhancing the region’s industrial landscape.
The Shapiro-Davis administration played a pivotal role in securing this investment, reflecting their commitment to fostering economic growth within Pennsylvania. “This investment underscores the strategic importance of supporting local businesses and creating jobs,” the administration stated.
As part of this initiative, the state is contributing over $3.9 million to support CP Industries, a company specializing in the manufacture of high-pressure gas vessels. This financial backing aims to reinforce the company’s longstanding presence in McKeesport, where it has operated since 1897.
Pennsylvania faced stiff competition from several other states vying for this investment. However, the state’s concerted efforts to attract and retain businesses paid off, ensuring that CP Industries’ expansion remains within its historic home.
