Caitlin Clark Foundation Donates Book Vending Machine to Children’s Hospital

Innovative Book Vending Machine Brings Joy to Pediatric Patients at University of Iowa Hospital

In an inspiring move to uplift young patients, the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital has welcomed a unique addition—a book vending machine. This generous gift comes from The Caitlin Clark Foundation, aiming to “empower pediatric patients to find joy and build connections with their siblings, parents, and children’s hospital staff by choosing books that interest them.”

Dubbed the Turning Pages, Healing Hearts initiative, this program aligns with the core mission of the Caitlin Clark Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to creating positive impacts on young individuals through education, nutrition, and opportunities.

Caitlin Clark, a notable figure both on and off the basketball court, spearheads this philanthropic effort. Clark, originally from West Des Moines, Iowa, is celebrated as the nation’s all-time leading scorer during her collegiate basketball career from 2020 to 2024 at Iowa. Currently, she continues her basketball journey with the Indiana Fever in the WNBA.
