Jennifer V. Blackhurst: A Leading Contender for Graduate College Dean at University of Iowa

In a significant development for the University of Iowa, Jennifer V. Blackhurst has emerged as a prominent candidate for the position of associate provost for graduate and professional education and dean of the Graduate College.

Currently serving as the associate dean for graduate and professional programs and the Leonard A. Hadley Chair in the Tippie College of Business, Blackhurst is also a professor specializing in business analytics.

Having been a part of the University of Iowa since 2014, Blackhurst’s research delves into critical aspects of supply chain management, focusing on risk and disruption management, and efficient supplier assessment. Her leadership in the Tippie College of Business has been pivotal in enhancing graduate and professional education programs, ensuring they are relevant, accessible, and affordable for students.

On Thursday, April 10, Blackhurst is scheduled to engage with various university groups, including faculty, staff, students, and campus leadership. She will also participate in an open forum open to the entire campus community from 9 to 10 a.m. in room 2520D of the University Capitol Centre, located at 201 S. Clinton St.
