BLM approves new community gravel pit in White Pine County, Nevada

ELY, Nev. — In a strategic move to bolster infrastructure, the Bureau of Land Management has greenlit a new project for White Pine County. The initiative involves the establishment of a five-acre community gravel pit in north Spring Valley, Nevada, which promises to be a game-changer for local road maintenance.

This project is poised to supply essential gravel and aggregate materials for the upkeep and repair of county roads such as County Road 37 and its connecting routes. The proximity of this new material source is expected to significantly enhance road quality, cut down on maintenance expenses, and ensure safer travel conditions for the public.

For further details, interested parties can visit the project webpage at the BLM National NEPA Register. Additional inquiries can be directed to BLM Geologist Brett Wagers at 775-289-1862 or via email at [email protected].
