Drake University Expands Ed.D. Leadership Program to Asia Through New Partnership
Drake University is set to broaden its international academic offerings by introducing its Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) Leadership program to Singapore. This strategic move is facilitated through a collaboration with Nanyang Science and Technology College (NSTC), a private educational institution. The program has received the green light from Singapore’s quality assurance agency, SkillsFuture Singapore, and the U.S.-based Higher Learning Commission.
Commencing in the fall of 2026, Drake University will offer its Ed.D. in Leadership program to students across the Asian continent. The program is designed as a hybrid model, blending online coursework with face-to-face sessions to deliver the high-caliber educational experience associated with Drake University.
The program is tailored to cater to the varied professional needs of educators and leaders throughout Asia. It spans a 36-month doctoral degree, with an accelerated option allowing completion in as few as 21 months.
Drake faculty will provide the curriculum for the Ed.D. program in Singapore, equipping graduates with globally recognized leadership skills. Drake’s School of Education has a longstanding tradition of offering a campus-based Ed.D. in Leadership program, which emphasizes leadership theory, ethics, technology, program evaluation, and research methodologies.
Ryan Wise, dean of Drake’s School of Education, stated, “By bringing our successful Ed.D. Leadership program to Singapore, we are empowering a new generation of leaders to address the complex educational and organizational challenges in an international context, while maintaining the rigor and academic excellence our program is known for.”
