Hands-On Learning Takes Center Stage at NNSS Student Program Launch
The Nevada National Security Sites (NNSS) recently kicked off its 2026 Student Program with a dynamic start, offering two days filled with career-oriented activities. Students had the opportunity to engage in professional development sessions, attend networking events, and participate in interactive booths designed to build their confidence as they embark on their summer internships.
This year’s program features over 85 participants, hailing from diverse academic disciplines such as engineering, mathematics, computer science, physics, information technology, and business administration. These students have the chance to delve into technical, professional, and operational fields, aligning closely with the NNSS mission. Throughout the 12-week program, they work on substantial projects that enable them to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios, gaining valuable insights into careers in science, technology, business, and national security.
