Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno stated, “From groceries and gas to health care and everyday essentials, Nevadans continue to feel the strain of higher costs driven by JD Vance and Nevada Republicans’ billionaires-first agenda and reckless trade war.”
Vance’s recent support for former President Donald Trump’s trade policies, particularly the trade war with Canada, has been a focal point of the criticism. Monroe-Moreno highlighted that this stance is pummeling Nevada’s crucial tourism economy, which heavily relies on Canadian visitors. The Democratic Party suggests that such policies contribute to the rising costs burdening working families in the state.
Despite Vance’s attempt to rally support in Nevada, his approval ratings are reportedly at a low point. Meanwhile, Nevada Democrats are focusing their efforts on securing victory in the upcoming November elections.
