Join Reno’s Day of Service to Revitalize Lake Park

The City of Reno, alongside partners One Truckee River, Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB), and Friends of Lake Park, is hosting a community-engaging event designed to rejuvenate Lake Park. Residents and visitors are encouraged to participate in this Day of Service happening on Saturday, October 25th, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at 40 Coleman Drive, Reno.

Community Collaboration for a Greener Tomorrow

This collaborative effort aims to enhance the natural beauty and ecological health of Lake Park. Volunteers will engage in a variety of activities, including litter collection, planting native vegetation, and improving park trails. The initiative seeks to promote environmental stewardship and community involvement.

Partners in Preservation

One Truckee River, known for its dedication to protecting the Truckee River, joins forces with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful, an organization committed to reducing waste and promoting sustainability in the region. Friends of Lake Park, a local group focused on preserving the park’s natural resources, also plays a key role in organizing the event.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles and gloves, although some supplies will be provided. The event is open to all ages, making it an excellent opportunity for families to contribute to the community and learn about environmental conservation.
