NC State Auditor Announces New Hires: O’Steen and Foxx Join Team

New Appointments to North Carolina State Auditor’s Office

The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor is welcoming two new members to its team, promising a strengthened legislative affairs department. This announcement marks a significant development in the office’s operations as it aims to enhance its interaction with state legislators and stakeholders.

State Auditor Dave Boliek has appointed Kirk O’Steen as the Director of Government Affairs and David Foxx as the Legislative Liaison. Boliek expressed confidence in the new hires, stating, “Kirk and David have the knowledge and character to make an exceptional legislative affairs team. They’re a welcomed presence in the office and will be quick to make a positive impact among stakeholders. I’m thrilled to have them on board.”

Kirk O’Steen brings considerable experience to his new role, having previously worked as the Political Director at the NC Chamber of Commerce. His background also includes several years as a staff member in the North Carolina House of Representatives, which equips him with vital insights into the legislative process.

David Foxx, on the other hand, has a background as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Benton Sawrey from Johnston County. A native of Sanford, N.C., Foxx is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he completed his undergraduate studies.
