BLM Approves Unionville’s Trap Springs Oil and Gas Drilling Permit

Oil and Gas Exploration Project Approved in Nevada

TONOPAH, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has given the go-ahead to Unionville Royalty Company LLC for their Trap Springs drilling project, which includes both the Application for Permit to Drill and the associated Right-of-way. This approval is accompanied by specific conditions and stipulations.

The project entails drilling an exploratory oil and gas well on a lease located approximately ten miles southwest of Currant in Railroad Valley, Nevada. The BLM conducted an Environmental Assessment to evaluate the potential impacts of the proposed drilling activity.

This initiative aligns with President Trump’s Executive Order 14154, titled “Unleashing American Energy,” which aims to promote energy exploration and production on Federal lands. The goal is to address domestic energy needs while reinforcing the United States’ position as a prominent energy producer on the global stage.
