Governor Stein Appoints Alicia Marks Flowers to Superior Court
Governor Josh Stein has appointed Alicia Marks Flowers to serve on the Superior Court for Judicial District 14B, which covers part of Cumberland County. This appointment fills the vacancy left by the retirement of the Honorable Gail Adams.
Flowers brings a wealth of experience to the position, currently serving as the Associate Dean of Administration and External Affairs and Counsel to the Dean at North Carolina Central University School of Law. Her previous experience includes a 15-year tenure at the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office. She holds a B.A. from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and earned her J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
Governor Stein remarked on her appointment, stating, “With a strong record of public service and deep ties to Cumberland County, Alicia is well suited for this appointment. Her legal knowledge and dedication to her community will serve the county and state well.”
