GERLACH, Nev. — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has given the green light to the Mountain View gold exploration initiative, which is set to take place on a 3,328-acre tract of public lands approximately 16 miles north of Gerlach in Washoe County.
The authorization allows Millennial NV LLC to conduct gold exploration activities across up to 400 acres. This will involve phased surface-disturbing operations and the collection of baseline data to evaluate the area’s mineral development potential. Should mining prospects arise in the future, additional environmental assessments and opportunities for public input will be necessary.
Further details can be found on the BLM National NEPA Register. For inquiries, please reach out to BLM Project Manager Kathy Torrence at [email protected] or call 775-623-1500.
