Seven Cousins Build a 25-Year Legacy at UVA Starting in the 1990s

Family Tradition at UVA: Seven Cousins Over 25 Years

A unique family tradition has taken root at the University of Virginia (UVA), where a single decision by one cousin in the 1990s has led to a remarkable legacy. Over the past 25 years, seven cousins from the same family have chosen to attend UVA, forming a network of alumni that spans decades.

The story began when the first cousin transferred to UVA, setting in motion a chain of events that would influence the educational choices of several family members. Each cousin’s decision to attend UVA has contributed to a deep family connection with the university, creating a multi-generational bond that continues to thrive.

This tradition is a testament to the university’s appeal and the strong family ties that have encouraged each successive generation to follow in their predecessors’ footsteps. The cousins have pursued a variety of academic disciplines, reflecting the diverse opportunities available at UVA.

As these family members continue to share their experiences and support each other through their educational journeys, they embody the spirit of community and legacy that UVA represents. The university’s influence on this family has been profound, shaping not just individual futures, but also a shared family history that continues to grow.
