Recognizing Excellence: Inaugural David Cox Medal for Statistics Awarded
In a significant development for the field of statistics, the first-ever David Cox Medal for Statistics has been awarded to three distinguished mid-career statisticians. The medal recipients include Professor Eric Tchetgen Tchetgen and Professor Nancy Zhang, both from the University of Pennsylvania, along with Professor Richard Samworth from the University of Cambridge. Professor Tchetgen Tchetgen has been recognized for his pioneering work in causal inference, particularly through the development of Proximal Causal Inference and instrumental variable methodology.
