Andres Pedroso Wins Third ITA National Coach of the Year Award

UVA’s Andres Pedroso Earns Third ITA National Coach of the Year Title

In a notable achievement for the University of Virginia’s men’s tennis program, head coach Andres Pedroso has been recognized as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s National Coach of the Year for the third time. This accolade arrives on the heels of the Cavaliers securing their seventh NCAA championship this spring.

Entering the NCAA tournament as the fourth seed, Virginia concluded an impressive season with a 28-4 record. Pedroso’s leadership has been pivotal, having previously claimed the national coaching award in both 2022 and 2023 after guiding the team to back-to-back NCAA titles. He joins the ranks of former UVA coach Brian Boland, who was honored with the ITA’s top coaching award in 2008 and 2016.

The 2025 season was not only marked by the team’s collective success but also by individual triumphs. Senior Måns Dahlberg and junior Dylan Dietrich secured the NCAA Doubles Championship in the fall, adding to the program’s accolades. Additionally, Dahlberg, Dietrich, and sophomore Keegan Rice were all recognized as NCAA Division I ITA All-Americans for their outstanding performances.
