Embark on an Enriching Summer with Free Library’s Summer Quest
As the sun shines brighter, the Free Library invites everyone to dive into a world of learning and fun with their annual Summer Quest. The program kicked off at the Parkway Central Library with the presence of Mayor Cherelle Parker and City Council members Anthony Phillips and Jeffery Young. Students from Marian Anderson Neighborhood Academy and Bache-Martin School also joined in the excitement, contributing to a unique sculpture crafted from build-it disks, courtesy of @Tiny WPA.
Across 54 Free Library locations, the Summer Quest offers an array of engaging, cost-free activities for all ages this season.
Celebrating Pride and Diversity
The Gamer and the Creator characters joined the celebration at the Queen Memorial Library Summer Kickoff, featuring a lively concert by @Ants on a Log. These events are part of Together We Thrive, celebrating learning and connection. For more Pride events, visit the Events Calendar.

In addition, the Reader explored the Field Teen Center for the latest manga titles, including Jujutsu Kaisen, the winner of the March Manga Madness competition. The Field Teen Center boasts the largest manga collection in the Free Library, yet every branch offers a variety of manga to explore.
