The platform aims to highlight how their policies have contributed to escalating costs for essentials such as food, gas, and healthcare, which is emerging as a significant challenge for Lombardo in this tight race.
Lombardo has praised Trump as the “greatest president” and maintains that “our economy is moving in the right direction.” However, reports show Nevadans are spending an additional $2,216 annually on household expenses since Trump’s tenure began. The rising costs are straining families across Nevada, with many expressing they are nearing a “breaking point” due to the inflationary pressures on groceries, gas, and housing.
The situation is exacerbated by gas prices exceeding $5 per gallon, leading to a decline in summer tourism and causing turmoil for small businesses. Despite these challenges, Lombardo remains aligned with Trump’s policies, suggesting that Nevadans should “feel a little pain” as a result of their economic agenda.
“Joe Lombardo caves to Donald Trump every chance he gets and Nevadans are paying the price. From groceries to gas to housing, everything is more expensive under the Lombardo-Trump economy,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Kate Sosland. “As he stumbles into the general election, Lombardo is going to have to answer for consistently putting Trump over working families.”
