Wisconsin SEOC Supports Storm and Flood Recovery Efforts Statewide

Response Efforts Intensify in Wisconsin Amidst Severe Storms and Flooding

Madison, Wis. – In the wake of recent severe storms and flooding, the Wisconsin State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) remains actively engaged in coordinating response efforts. The SEOC is maintaining communication with county and tribal emergency managers statewide as they work on response and recovery operations.

The SEOC has been handling 38 resource requests to bolster response activities. These requests comprise:

  • Personnel for sandbagging efforts.
  • Systems for filling sandbags.
  • GIS and personnel support for damage assessments.

Operating at a Level 2 status, the SEOC is collaborating with both state and nongovernmental partners, which include:

  • Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs.
  • Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
  • Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
  • Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
  • Salvation Army.
  • American Red Cross.
