Join Read Baby Read: Storytime and Play for Ages 2 and Under

Engage Your Little Ones with Storytime Fun at Parkway Central Library

There’s an exciting opportunity for young children and their caregivers to enjoy an enriching morning of stories, songs, and activities at the Parkway Central Library. The “Read, Baby, Read” program, led by Miss Mary, is designed to foster language and literacy development in babies and toddlers.

The event is scheduled for Monday, June 2, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. Families with children aged 2 and under are invited to join Miss Mary for a delightful session filled with stories, songs, rhymes, and bounces. Following the storytime, participants can stay for a playtime session, offering a chance for social interaction and further engagement.

Weather conditions will dictate the location of the event. On cooler days, the storytime will take place in the auditorium on the ground floor of the library. If the weather is warmer, the activities will be held outdoors in Shakespeare Park, located just across the street from the library.

The “Read, Baby, Read” series is part of a broader initiative supported by the William Penn Foundation, aimed at boosting early literacy skills among young children and providing valuable resources for caregivers.
