New Appointment: Megan Thole to Lead Human Resources for the City
In a recent announcement by City Manager Tom Hadden, Megan Thole has been appointed as the new Human Resources Director for the City. Her tenure will officially start on December 9, 2024.
Megan Thole brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as the Director of Human Resources for West Des Moines Community Schools since July 2021. Her career in education also includes a position as Associate Principal at Valley High School, in addition to various administrative and teaching roles in Chicago and Boston.
Thole’s academic credentials are equally impressive. She holds a Master of Education in School Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master of Arts in Education from National Louis University in Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Iowa.
