Florida’s D-SNAP Assistance Extends to Four Counties After Hurricanes
The Florida Department of Children and Families has initiated a Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) in response to the impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. This initiative targets residents in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, and Taylor counties who are not currently receiving regular SNAP benefits.
Residents in these counties who have pre-registered online but missed their telephone interviews are encouraged to attend in-person interviews at designated D-SNAP locations. It is important to note that those who completed their phone interviews are not required to attend in person.
For those who have not yet pre-registered, the Department will reopen online pre-registration for these specific counties. It is advised that individuals complete their online pre-registration before attending the on-site interview. Online registration can be done via www.myflfamilies.com/DSNAP.
