D-SNAP Locations Announced for Five Florida Counties Post-Hurricanes

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – In a recent announcement, Secretary Shevaun Harris of the Department of Children and Families detailed the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) sites for residents of Columbia, DeSoto, Lake, Lee, and Manatee counties in Florida. This program offers food aid to those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, who are not already benefiting from the regular Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Residents of the specified counties who pre-registered online but missed their D-SNAP phone interview have the option to complete the process in person at their county’s D-SNAP location. However, if a phone interview was already conducted, an in-person interview is unnecessary.

The Department plans to reopen pre-registration for those who have not yet signed up online. Prior online registration is advised before visiting the site for the interview. The pre-registration will be available from the start to the end of each event. Interested individuals can register at www.myflfamilies.com/DSNAP.

  • Only residents of the county holding the event should attend, as those from other counties will not be served.

The Department is ensuring that D-SNAP sites are available in approved counties, with details released as they become available.

Media personnel planning to visit a D-SNAP location must contact the Department’s Press Office in advance by emailing @email. Note that interviews with the media are scheduled only on the first day of each event and require prior arrangement.
