Research on Environmental Toxicants and Child Health Gains NIH Funding

In recent years, the impact of environmental toxicants on human health has gained significant attention. From the air we breathe to the water we drink, and even the products we use daily, these factors significantly influence disease risk across our lifetimes. This pressing issue has prompted a nationwide collaboration among researchers to delve into how these environmental elements contribute to various health conditions.

The Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) study is at the forefront of this research, aiming to provide scientific evidence that supports efforts to mitigate and eliminate these toxicants. The goal is to protect children’s health by understanding the complex interplay between environmental exposures and health outcomes.
