Constable Vacancy Opens in McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct
In a move to fill a crucial law enforcement position, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has announced an open application process for the role of McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct Constable. This follows the resignation of David Lester, who officially stepped down from his duties on January 31, 2025. The responsibilities of a constable include executing, serving, and returning legal processes, warrants, and notices, as well as attending justice courts when required. The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors is tasked with appointing a suitable candidate to the vacant position. By statutory requirements, the appointee must be a Republican, reside in the McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct, and be a registered voter in Arizona. The individual selected will serve for the remainder of the term.
