Enviro-Log Expands to Arizona with New Facility, Boosting Jobs and Sustainability
Enviro-Log Company, LLC, an industry leader in eco-friendly consumer products and recycling, is set to open a new facility in Glendale, Arizona, by summer. This development is anticipated to create over 50 job opportunities in the region.
The 76,156-square-foot facility, located at 7676 N. Glen Harbor Boulevard, will focus on recycling waxed cardboard boxes (WOCC) and producing Enviro-Log’s environmentally friendly products. The company aims to collaborate with produce companies, grocery retailers, and recyclers across Arizona, California, and the broader western United States to manage substantial volumes of WOCC.
Ross McRoy, President and Founder of Enviro-Log, remarked, During our search, Arizona stood out for a variety of reasons including having a very supportive business-friendly climate, strong talent pool of skilled labor, and proximity to major transportation routes.
He added that the strategic location of Glendale would enable better service to their partners on the West Coast and in the Midwest.
Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority, stated, Enviro-Log’s new recycling and manufacturing facility further demonstrates Arizona’s attractiveness as a manufacturing powerhouse. The facility’s recycling operations will enhance Arizona’s sustainability footprint while strengthening Glendale’s vibrant manufacturing base.
Enviro-Log, headquartered in Fitzgerald, Georgia, is recognized as North America’s largest recycler of WOCC and the third-largest producer of manufactured firelogs in the United States. For nearly two decades, the company has partnered with retailers to minimize environmental impact by recycling WOCC, a material commonly used for transporting produce.
Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers expressed enthusiasm about the new facility, saying, We have a duty to take care of the environment. As a consumer product and recycling company, they bring sustainability efforts to Glendale. We are proud to welcome a national brand and look forward to them joining our community.
Chris Camacho, President & CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, added, With modern freight infrastructure connecting to large consumer centers and a pro-business environment that welcomes innovators from across the globe, Greater Phoenix is ideally positioned to attract organizations like Enviro-Log.
Enviro-Log utilizes recycled WOCC to produce firelogs that emit 50% less greenhouse gases and offer 50% more heat per pound than traditional wood. This process not only conserves trees but also diverts millions of pounds of WOCC from landfills annually. The company has collaborated with over 100 partners across North America, successfully diverting almost half a billion pounds of WOCC from landfills.
The company’s closed-loop process ensures that their 100% recycled firelogs are returned to retailers for sale, offering immediate financial advantages. In addition to firelogs, Enviro-Log manufactures Firestarters made from recycled wax as an alternative to traditional kindling and other fire-starting products.
Enviro-Log’s array of products is available at major retailers, including Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowes in the United States, as well as Canadian Tire in Canada. To learn more about Enviro-Log, visit their official website or follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
